Overview[]
A vastly superior version of Fio, dressed for the holidays.
Standard attack (Close): Candy cane stab. Unremarkable damage.
Standard attack (Long): A single pistol shot. Unremarkable damage. Slightly shorter detection range than that of Christmas Eri.
Special attack (Long): A rocket launcher that curves upward, travels a large horizontal distance, and explodes with a huge splash. This attack is very damaging considering Christmas Fio's AP cost.
Costs 300 medals in the shop and only available for purchase in version 1.40.0.
Tactics[]
Christmas Fio is a vast improvement from the regular and fat versions. Her rocket does huge damage and has huge range, destroying weak spammed units and softening up stronger units from a distance.She easily shuts down the common Green Hazmat: the rocket kills them or the mummies in one hit. If the map is short and the mummy is summoned to block her before she can use her special, she can knock the mummy back with two regular attacks and use the special to kill both the mummy and the soldier together. Other leads she beats one-on-one include Leona, Red Samurai Infantry, Rebel Zombie and Smasher. She will lose to Iori but he will have very little health left and be forced to use his special to kill her. It helps to use early-game walls (e.g. Smasher, Black Wall Cat, any melee KOF) to try and get a second special off. In the late game, she remains useful as she can still use her special for good spread damage, often hitting multiple units.
Christmas Fio has a glaring weakness: any map that slopes upward even slightly will block her special attack. Even the insignificant tiny bridges on the pyramid stage or the water's edge on the Egyptian tomb entrance stage will block the special and cause her to become a dead weight in the early game if she is forced to stand behind the slopes. Projectile cancelers also stop her attack. Early game Robert is a major nuisance; consider waiting for him to waste the special first.
When using Christmas Fio, note that practically all her damage is concentrated in the special attack, so try to bait out invincibility moves before attacking or attack from a distance to force opponents to waste them.
