"A red Tar Man. Its decay is 3 times more advanced."[]
Overview[]
A red palette swap of Tar Man exclusive to Metal Slug Defense. Introduced in version 1.31.0, and unlocked by rescuing all POWs in the 'BOSS' stage of the Midsummer Horror Night event.
Its HP and AP cost are exactly triple that of Tar Man.
Standard attack: Throws vomit in an arc.
Special attack: Throws vomit twice in an arc, then throws one more round of vomit after a delay.
This unit currently has one of the highest damage outputs among the units under 300AP. This, coupled with the fact that it's free, makes it a common encounter online.
Tactics[]
Tar Man(Red) is very vulnerable to knockback (any rush unit hit, or even something as weak as Zombie Eri's vomit will knock it back) which will disrupt its slow special attack. It is imperative to protect it behind some sort of wall. Thankfully, its slow movement speed allows most walls to easily catch up to it even if sent out later.
